MEADVILLE — Graveside services for Charles Wesley Strong, 61, of Natchez, who died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11:30 a.m. today at Siloam Cemetery in Franklin County with Mr. Chris Higgs and the Rev. Leon Wallace officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Strong was born Dec. 9, 1955, in Natchez, the son of Warren H. Strong and Earlene Womack Strong.

He was employed by Corrections Corporation of America (CCA.) He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Strong was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, JoAn Seymour; one brother-in-law, Joe Swaggart; and one niece, Kim Britt.

Survivors include his wife, Fran Seymour Strong; one daughter, Amanda Strong Stroud and husband, Wes; two grandchildren, Bailey Stroud and Warren Wesley Stroud; two sisters, Dianne Britt and husband, Roger, and Connie Swaggart; six nieces and nephews, Kellie Smith and husband, Tony, Beth Harris and husband, Ronnie, Jo Lyn Arnold and husband, Randy; father-in-law, Glynn Seymour; two great-nieces; four great-nephews; and longtime friends, Jim, Mike and Jamie.

Pallbearers will be Danny Ellington, Ronnie Harris, Randy Arnold, Cole Smith, Wes Stroud and Jim White.

Honorary pallbearers will be Warren Wesley Stroud, CCA maintenance staff and personnel, Roger Britt and Mike Wilson.
