Sam and Kathleen Dunbar of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Cassandra Washington to Darrius Woods, son of Don Lyons of Vidalia and Dietrich Woods of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and is attending Alcorn State University in Lorman.

She is the granddaughter of Lucy Washington and the late Theodore Washington and the late Charity Dunbar and Leonard Long, all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Natchez High School and is employed by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

He is the grandson of Julia Woods and the late Henry Woods of Natchez and Ernest and Johnnie Mae Lyons of Vidalia.

The wedding will be 4 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Antioch Baptist Church in Natchez.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the Louis Gunning Safe Room.

Family and friends are invited.
