NATCHEZ — Services for Wilson Earl McCullen, 70, of Inglewood, Calif., formerly of Natchez, who died Thursday, June 1, 2017, in Inglewood, will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Forest Aid Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life wake service at 5 p.m.
Visitation will continue Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. McCullen was born Nov. 2, 1946, in Natchez, the son of Richard McCullen Sr. and Emma Stewart Wimley.
Wilson was raised by Phillip Wimley.
He was a graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School and attended Paul Quinn College in Waco, Texas.
Mr. McCullen was the owner of McC4 Computer Repair and was retired from the RTD Rapid Transportation District in Los Angeles.
He was a member of Forest Aid Baptist Church and enjoyed photography and computers.
Mr. McCullen was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Brenda Bradley; and one brother, Jessie Gary Wimley.
Survivors include his wife, Delores McCullen of Natchez; two sons, Jamal McCullen and wife, Danessa, and Paxton McCullen, all of Natchez; two daughters, Andrea Skipper Gordon and husband, Jack, of Jackson and Jaimee McCullen Williams of Gonzales, La.; five brothers, Richard McCullen and wife, Barbara, of Inglewood, LeAndrew McCullen, Philip Wimley Jr., Robert Wimley, and Joseph Wimley and wife, Valerie, all of Natchez; five sisters, Virginia Hence, Corlis “Rose” Chatman, Alice Mosby and husband, Glen, all of Natchez, Christa Kelly of Shreveport, La., and Josephine Ervin of Donaldsonville, La.; one aunt, Laurel Stewart of St. Louis, Mo.; one uncle, Willie Wimley of Natchez; a special brother-in-law, Venah Ervin of Los Angles; and a number of other relatives and friends.
