CANNONSBURG — Services for Paris Martin, 89, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in Jackson, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cannonsburg with the Rev. Tracy Cusic Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Webb/Winfield Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin was born March 2, 1928, in Jefferson County, the son of Henry and Henrietta Martin.

He was Baptist and enjoyed hunting, fishing and jokes.

Mr. Martin was retired from International Paper Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ronnie Owens; three sisters, Alice Tyler, Sarah Griffin and Rosa Lee Betts; two brothers, Alfred James Whitley and John Dyer; great-granddaughter, Déelra Clark; and his best friend, Henry Kaho.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Martin; five children, Mary Owens Tyler, Velma Woods, Jerry Martin and wife, Jessie, and Jimmy Martin, all of Natchez, and Rosie Tyler and husband, Larry, of Fayette; three brothers, Johnny Martin, Moses Dyer and Elijah Dyer; and one sister, Willie Mae Minor.

Pallbearers will be Larry Griffin, Ronnie Griffin, Alvin Frisby, Lavel Whitley, James Green Jr., and Carl Marsaw.
