NATCHEZ — A second man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a December 2016 armed robbery on Williams Street.
Natchez police arrested Tre M. Hebert, 31, 7 Cottage Farm Road, and charged him with armed robbery.
Police had previously arrested Dewey McGee, age unknown, 824 Martin Luther King Jr. St., on a charge of armed robbery.
Natchez Lt. Kenneth Stampley said Wednesday warrants had recently been signed for the arrest of McGee and Hebert.
Stampley said the victim only recently signed the warrants. Stampley said he did not know why the delay occurred in the crime and the victim pursuing an affidavit.
Three men reportedly went to the victim’s house at approximately 10 p.m. on Dec. 29, knocked on the door and robbed the victim at gunpoint.
The three men reportedly took $300 in cash, a watch and a diamond ring before leaving the scene.
Stampley said police are working to identify the third person allegedly involved in the robbery.
Hebert was released Tuesday on a $50,000 bond. McGee was being held Wednesday on a $50,000 bond.
