Lauren Michelle Hall and Aaron Michael Maroon were united in marriage Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 6 p.m., at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ferriday. The Rev. Dennis Baker officiated the ceremony, while David Taylor provided the music.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bridge Hall of Ferriday. She is the granddaughter of the late Louise McIntosh Lancaster of Clayton, the late James Edison Lancaster of Jackson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wood Hall of Vicksburg.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Loyce Maroon of Ferriday. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Benton Allen Blackmon Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Loyce Maroon, all of Ferriday.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Lillian West mermaid gown with an illusion Sabrina neckline, a sheer back with lace appliques and a sweep train. The dress was complemented by an appliqued waltz-length veil worn in honor of her aunt Teresa Diane Hails. She carried a bouquet of various hues of ivory and white roses and white peonies with greenery. The bouquet was placed in a monogrammed handkerchief.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Logan Blackmon Williams. The maid of honor was Emma Claire Loomis. Bridesmaids were Guylan Britt Brown, Cassie Clark Crew, Stephanie Pardue Hatten, Brooke Courville LeDoux, Whitney Taylor Prudhomme and Taylor Anne Sheppard. The honorary bridesmaid was Macy Alexandra Loomis. Junior bridesmaids were the bride’s cousins, Annie Louise Raven and Lily Grace McCarthy.
Matthew Loyce Maroon served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Aaron McCoy Adair, William Scott Brown, Zackary Tyler Brown, Seth Brannon Cotton, Austin Lance Lipsey and Ross Ellis Lipsey. Junior groomsmen were the bride’s cousins, Henry Arthur Raven and Gus Sullivan McCarthy. The ring bearer was Jed Avery Edwards.
The ushers were Patrick Russell Hails and Jakob Tomas Porter.
Following the ceremony, directed by Abagail Washington, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Panola Woods Country Club.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents honored the couple with a rehearsal dinner at Rolling River Bistro in Natchez.
After their honeymoon to Playa, Mujeres, Cancun, the couple will reside at their home on Lake St. John.
