Are you ready to go back to school —Bible school? Just as regular school ends, local churches begin to prepare for the fun-filled days of singing, crafts, games and the Gospel. Here is a list of the vaction Bible schools offered by local churches this year.

• HIGHLAND BAPTIST CHURCH: From 8:30 a.m. to noon, May 29-June 2 at 319 Highland Blvd. This year’s vacation Bible school will be inspired by the movie “Star Wars.” For children 4 years old to those who have completed sixth grade. Call 601-442-5263 for

• VIDALIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH: From 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 3 at N. Oak and Florida streets in Vidalia. Theme will focus on Paul and the early church.
• FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH NATCHEZ: From 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., June 5-9 at 150 D’Evereux Drive. Registration is limited to children who have completed kindergarten to children who have completed the eighth grade. Register at fbcnatchez.org.
• FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH VIDALIA: From 8:30 a.m. to noon, June 5-9 at 100 Hickory St. in Vidalia. This year’s theme is “Gadgets and Gizmos.” Registration is limited to children 4 years old through sixth grade. Register at facebook.com/firstbaptistvidalia. For more information, call 318-336-7111.
• PARKWAY BAPTIST CHURCH:From 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., June 5-9 at 117 Seargent Prentiss Drive. This year’s theme is “Galactic Starveyors.” Kick-off pool party will be at Adams County Christian School pavilion and pool from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 4. For more information call 601-442-7434.

• JEFFERSON STREET UNITED METHODIST CHURCH & FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH: From 9 a.m. 11:30 a.m., June 12-15 at 511 Jefferson St. This year’s vacation Bible school is inspired by Paul’s day in Rome and the underground church.
