DOLOROSO — Services for Richard Lee “Ricky” Dennis, 42, of Doloroso, who died Friday, April 8, 2011, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Brooks officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Dennis was born March 6, 1969, in Natchez, the son of Mose and Edna Prater Dennis. He was employed as a logger.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son, Richard Dennis Jr.; two daughters, LaTashie Chasley and Carrie Dennis; six brothers, Mose Dennis, Johnson Dennis, Sheriff Reginald Jackson and Rickey Jackson and wife, Sandra, all of Woodville, Willie Dennis of Natchez, and Larry Dennis and wife, Michelle, of Chesapeake, Va.; four sisters, Ethel Dennis and Dorothy Dennis, both of Doloroso, Sandra Dennis and Jacqueline McKinsey and husband, Robert, all of Baton Rouge; and his devoted fiancée, Cynthia Cheasley of Doloroso.
