NATCHEZ — A Natchez man is behind bars for reportedly stealing two flat-screen televisions from his Reynolds Street neighbor.
Natchez Police Sgt. Jerry Ford said Lakei Taron Green, 33, 12 Reynolds St., was charged Monday with burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
On Sunday, a Reynolds Street resident returned home to find her front door open and her house burglarized, Ford said. Green reportedly entered the house after reportedly breaking a window and climbing through it.
A neighbor informed the resident that the neighbor had seen Green leaving the house with two flat-screen TVs and taking them to a house down the street. A short time later, the neighbor reportedly saw a gray car go to the house, and Green give the TVs to an unknown man.
The televisions have not been recovered, Ford said.
Green remains in the Natchez City Jail with a $25,000 bond.
