NATCHEZ — Services for Charlie Knight Jr., 85, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be 6 p.m. Sunday at the George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel at West Gate Funeral Home.

Mr. Knight was born April 26, 1932, in Adams County, the son of Charlie Knight and Viola Pettis.
He received his education in the Adams County school system and was employed by Natchez Community Hospital as a purchasing clerk until his retirement in 1994.
Mr. Knight was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church No. 2, in Kingston. Blues and jazz were his favorite genres of music.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norse Lee Knight; and two daughters.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon L. Knight Thornburg and husband, Alvin, of Bay Town, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Reynolds of Natchez; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
