May 6 is right around the corner, and the National Football Foundation’s Miss-Lou chapter is very excited to be hosting the Joe Fortunato-Allen Brown Golf Classic at the historic Duncan Park Golf Course.
The annual tournament is the primary fund raiser for the Miss-Lou chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholarship Fund, which awards more than $10,000 each year to local scholar athletes. This year’s tournament is set for Saturday, May 6, with 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. tee times.
We encourage everyone to come out and support this great cause.
The Joe Fortunato-Allen Brown Golf Classic is known for its gourmet lunches by our excellent cook team lead by Mr. Allen Brown himself. Along with the great food and beverages, our event atmosphere is deep-rooted with laughter and smiles on everyone’s faces. It is just a really good time and if you have never eaten “Uncle Allen’s beans” then you need to come on out. They are worth the trip!
Non-golfers have an opportunity to join the prize giveaway by purchasing raffle tickets for the ball drop for a chance to win $1,000 cash and/or the shootout to win a 2017 GMC Canyon valued at $40,000.
In addition, there will be also be door prizes, closest to the hole, and longest drive awards for both the morning and afternoon flights. The Hole in One prizes are sponsored by our awesome supporters at Great River Chevrolet and golfers have a chance to win a Krank Golf Formula 6 Driver on No. 6, a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu valued at $27,000 on No. 9, a vacation for 4 at Lajitas Golf Resort & Spa on No. 13, and $500 Callaway Golf Shopping Spree on No. 15.
