LISMORE, La. — Graveside services for Jacob Maxwell Ellard, 30, known to his friends as “Turbo Joe Jenkins,” of Monterey, who died Monday, April 24, 2017, in Grand Isle, La., will be 12:30 p.m. today at Ellard Family Cemetery in Lismore, La.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at Ellard Family Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Jacob was born March 18, 1987, in Monroe, La., the son of James and Zona Ellard.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jacob especially loved teaching his daughter, nieces and nephews to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lee and Leona Ellard, and maternal grandparents, Harold and Lovie Smith.
Survivors include his parents of Monroe; one daughter, Harley Marie Ellard and her mother, Tonya Bell, of Grand Isle; two sisters, Mary Brooks and husband, Mitch, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jennifer Nations and husband, Clay, of Monterey; two brothers, Daniel Ellard and wife, Lori, of Monterey, and Jason Ellard and wife, Jonah, of Kiln; and a number of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles who loved him very much.
Pallbearers will be Munday Smith Jr., Gary Dorr, Frank Voght, Heath McNeely, James Ray Ellard and Ty Helton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Smith, Clay Nations and Mitch Brooks.
