MONTEREY — Services for Sharon Diane Knapp Morace, 68, of Monterey, who died Saturday, April 15, 2017, in Shreveport, La., will be 11 a.m. today at New Era Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Baker and the Rev. Jack Knapp officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morace was born May 1, 1948, in Ferriday, the daughter of Ellis and Dora Knapp.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her most loved grandpaw, Jesse W. Mills; eight nieces and nephews, Michael Lee, Eric Knapp, Melvin Knapp Jr., Cindy Knapp, Joe Knapp, Sharon Fitzgerald, Kristen Smith Lewis and Lacy Hux; and her loving brother-in-law, Charlie Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Otis Lynn Morace; one daughter, Angie Morace Lancaster and husband, Jeff; one son, Dennis Todd Morace and wife, Connie; two grandsons, Dustin Todd Lancaster and Jacob Dean Lancaster and fiancée, Jennifer Billiot; two granddaughters, Taylor Rose Morace and Jake Ray and Blake Lynne Morace, all of Monterey; three brothers, Melvin Knapp Sr. and wife, Wanda Gay, Alton Knapp Sr., and Ellis Knapp Jr. and wife, Beverly, all of Monterey; four sisters, Irene Lee of Monterey, Scarlette Fitzgerald and husband, Graydon, of Bernice, La., Evelyn Smith of Denham Springs, La., and Cathy Richerson and husband, Robin, of Orange Beach, Ala.; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Keith Smith, Ryan Thompson, Randy Knapp, Alton Knapp Jr., Damon Knapp and Seth Sanford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Burton Boles and Van Strebeck.
