NATCHEZ — A Natchez woman has been arrested for reportedly shooting a man during a domestic disturbance early Thursday morning on Dumas Drive.

Natchez Police Lt. Julius Steele said Felicia Pearl Adams, 46, 300 Dumas Drive, reportedly shot a 53-year-old man with whom she was romantically involved in the abdomen during an argument at Adams’ residence.

Steele said officers were dispatched to the shooting shortly before 4 a.m.

En route to the scene, an officer spotted a vehicle being driven erratically leaving the scene. After pulling the vehicle over, the officer discovered a resident was transporting the shooting victim to the hospital.

The victim was in stable condition at Merit Health Thursday morning and was awaiting transfer to a trauma center.

Adams remained in jail Thursday evening without a bond.
