NATCHEZ — Services for Martha Lee “Me Me” Green, 81, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cannonsburg with the Rev. Traci Cusic officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time, both at the church.
Mrs. Green was born Dec. 12, 1935, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Jerome Herrington Sr. and Mae Rose Jackson Herrington.
She was a member of Will Foster Chapter No. 10 Order of Eastern Star, Evelyn Lillie K. Amaranth Court No. 1, L.E. Spencer Administrative Council and Daughters of Sphinx and Heroine of Jericho.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Allen Green Sr.; two daughters, Ella Mae Green and Lyndia Ruth Green; one sister, Annie Gamble; and one brother-in-law, Frank Gamble.
Survivors include four children, Earleen Green Gibbs and Earl Green Jr., both of Cannonsburg, Brent Green and wife, Jeanette, of Memphis, Tenn., and Lucie Ford of Monroe, La.; three adopted children, LaShundra Green, La Wanda Green and Viola Green, all of Woodville; mother-in-law, Anna Green of Fayette; two sisters, LouVenia Hargo and husband, Willie, of Fayette, and Verine Dawson of Natchez; three brothers, Jerome Herrington Jr. and wife, Mamie, George Herrington and wife, Margie, and William Herrington and wife, Johnnie, all of Cannonsburg; one godchild, Keyariah Herrington; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
