FERRIDAY — Services for Arthur Perkins Jr., 57, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Rosehill Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Eddie Schiele officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Perkins was born in Vidalia, the son of Arthur and Dorothy Martin Perkins.
He was a diesel mechanic.
Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Vernita Shepard Perkins; his mother; one son, Derrick Shepard; three daughters, Katrina Spurs, Shannon Watson and Toyua Watson; two brothers, Myron Perkins and wife, Shelia, and Patrick Perkins; five sisters, Carolyn Brown, Beverly Perkins, Joann Taylor, Gilbertine Armsted and husband, Larry, and Gloria Perkins; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
