FAYETTE — Services for the Rev. C.W. “Chief” Wilson Sr., 83, of Fayette, who died Monday, March 6, 2017, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hollywood Baptist Church in Fayette.
Burial will be 1:30 p.m., Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at First New Life Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fayette and from noon until service time Saturday at Hollywood Baptist Church.
Rev. Wilson was born July 1, 1933, in Roxie, the son of Rumble Wilson and Lula Lindsey.
He was a member of Refrigeration Service Engineers Society-Mississippi State CFC/EPA and was a licensed HVAC contractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Deborah Wilson; five sisters, Willie G. Wilson-Davis, Lee Pearl McCoy-Chaney, Loubertha Wilson-Butler, Vivian Wilson and Thelma Wilson-Hammond; and three brothers, Leon Davis, Crevie Wilson and Leroy Mayberry.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ruby Wilson; five children, Iris L. Rankin, C.W. Wilson Jr., Byron Wilson, Inga Wilson-Pierce and Ina Wilson; eight grandchildren, Yavette Parker, India Pinckney, Byron Parker, Bridgette Lavendar, Gajuan Wilson, Terron Farrington, Trinity Wilson and Lindsey Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Iaa Pinckney and Kaitlyn Parker; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
