WOODVILLE — Matthew McGraw, Tip McKenzie and Todd Gonda accounted for all seven touchdowns as the Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams defeated the Ben’s Ford Eagles 46-6 Friday night.

McGraw was the leading rusher for WCCA (2-0). He had four carries for 118 yards with two touchdowns. He scored the Rams’ first touchdown on the second play from scrimmage on a 51-yard run, and he scored the final touchdown of the game on a 13-yard run at the 7:29 mark of the third quarter.

McKenzie had eight rushes for 91 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns. His first score was on a 64-yard run with 8:14 to go in the first quarter to give the Rams a 13-6 lead. He then scored just over a minute later on a 12-yard run. Duncan Ashley’s two-point conversion run gave them a 21-6 lead.

McKenzie also had two touchdown catches from Gonda, first on a 42-yard reception with 4:41 remaining in the opening quarter and then the two connected on a 15-yard pass with just eight seconds left until halftime.

Gonda completed WCCA’s 34-point first quarter with a 15-yard run with 1:24 to go. Ben’s Ford’s only touchdown was on a 5-yard run at the 9:07 mark of the first quarter.

Gonda completed two of four passes for 57 yards. Trey McCants led the Rams’ defensive effort with 12 tackles and Tramel Mckensie had two fumble recoveries.

Overall, WCCA had 286 yards of offense while Ben’s Ford (0-2) managed just 83 total yards.

Centreville 22, Parklane 21

McCOMB — Centreville was on the verge of going 0-2 on the season after trailing Parklane 15-13 at halftime. But the Tigers rallied in the second half for a one-point win over the Pioneers Friday night.

“A different team showed up tonight. The kids played with a lot of fire,” Centreville assistant coach Brian Stutzman said. “The line blocked. Running backs ran hard. We completed a few passes. It was a very emotional game. It’s a rivalry game. It’s a big win. We didn’t want to go 0-2 against Parklane.”
