NATCHEZ — Four teenagers were reportedly caught attempting to burglarize an unoccupied house on Mt. Carmel Drive Monday afternoon.
Natchez Police Sgt. Jerry Ford said the owners of the house, which is being used for storage, arrived at the house shortly after 1 p.m., heard noises from outside the house and called police.
Ford said police arrived and caught three teenagers, ages 14 and 15, reportedly attempting to flee from the house. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office caught a fourth teenager who was reportedly involved in the incident.
The teens were charged as minors and transported to the youth detention center, Ford said.
