Let your mind wander back to the period of the 1880s to the 1920s. Faith, family, children, antique greeting cards, grandiose-style, Victorian colors, crepe paper art, streamers, kites, games, music, laughter, fun, food and fellowship.

On April 16, our Miss-Lou community will be coming together to celebrate one of the most important seasons of our lives — Easter.

We are planning a day of family fun and Spring activities. All churches are invited to bring their choirs to sing Easter music or cantatas at the Riverfront Amphitheater. All non-profits will be encouraged to sponsor booths and activities as a fundraising opportunity. Let your Easter imagination run wild as you plan your activity, booth or event.

Our Easter children’s parade will include decorated bikes, decorated trikes, decorated wagons or decorated strollers depending on the age of your child. Or, if you prefer, decorated kids can just walk. Are there any goat owners out there? Why don’t you bring your goat and its decorated cart? No large animals or motorized vehicles please.

Throughout Riverfront park, you will find photo opportunities sponsored by the City of Vidalia.

What about taking your family photo in a giant Easter basket or your children’s picture with Peter Cottontail? Don’t forget to bring your cameras, but if you do, no worry, we’ve got you covered with our photographer on stand-by.
