NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Josephine Nosser Thompson, 90, of Canton and formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, in Canton, after a lengthy illness, will be 11 a.m. today at the Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. John Kramer officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson was born May 21, 1926, in Clarksdale, the daughter of John Joseph Nosser and Latefy Jane Jabour Nosser.
She was a member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 47 years, Curtis “Pinky” Thompson; her parents; and three brothers, George Nosser Sr., Joe Nosser and Pete Nosser.
Survivors include her four daughters, Pam Bouchillon, Marilyn Wilson, Josephine Anderson and Lila Thompson; two sisters, Ann Sims and Jean Biglane; one sister-in- law, Frances Nosser; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jefferson Street United Methodist Church or Blair E. Batson Children Hospital at University of Mississippi Medical Center, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
