NATCHEZ- Services for Louise Dabbs McLeod, 96, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Denny Callaway, minister of Briarwood Drive Church of Christ, officiating.   
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McLeod was born Feb. 7, 1921, in Wynn, Ark., the daughter of Thomas Ellis Dabbs and Eleanor Sloan “Miller” Dabbs.
Mrs. McLeod was a lifelong resident of Natchez. She was a member of the Briarwood Drive Church of Christ, where she was very active in the ladies Bible class. She was also the owner/operator of the Hide-A-Way Skating Rink and was involved in the making of dresses for the Natchez Pilgrimage in the 1960s.
Mrs. McLeod was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James M. “Jimmy” McLeod; four sisters, Helen Dabbs Hester, Margaret Dabbs Dayton, Thoma Dabbs Ball and Mary Dabbs Pounds; two brothers, William “Bill” Dabbs and Todd Dabbs; and one son-in-law, Jerry White.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Terraine McLeod Wilson and husband, Doug, and Bettina McLeod White, all of Natchez; one son, James Rowan McLeod and wife, Cecelia, of Searcy, Ark.; three grandchildren, Tracy White Stewart of Natchez, Terri Lynn McLeod Sledge and James Todd McLeod of Searcy; seven great-grandchildren: two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Todd McLeod, Cooper McLeod, Tom Sledge, Thomas Sledge, Taylor Mitchell, and Doug Wilson.
