NATCHEZ — A Natchez woman was arrested Wednesday for reportedly shoplifting more than $1,000 worth of designer clothing from Belk in May 2016.
Natchez Police Department Lt. Stampley said Amber A. Davis, 30, 2739 Itasca Drive, turned herself into police Wednesday after the case aired on a Jackson TV news program Monday night.
“She called us on Tuesday and then came and turned herself in,” Stampley said.
On May 31, 2016, Davis reportedly grabbed a rack of clothes and ran out of Belk.
Because the value of the clothes is more than $1,000, Davis was charged with felony shoplifting.
Davis was released from the Natchez City Jail on a $10,000 bond.
