Drugs arrests continue in ongoing investigation

NATCHEZ — Three more people were arrested Wednesday in what Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten describes as an ongoing investigation.
Maj. Shane Daugherty said agents with the Adams County Special Operations Group recovered more than half an ounce of methamphetamine at the Terrace Hotel, as well as small amounts of high-grade marijuana and cocaine.
Tommy Allen Wells, 46, 199 Crestview Road, Ferriday, was charged with possession of schedule II methamphetamines with intent to distribute.
Daugherty said Wells was arrested at an undisclosed location, which had been under surveillance by agents.
Arrested at the hotel, room No. 5, were Bridges Emanuel Shannon, 45, 19 Green Acres Road, on charges of possession of schedule II methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 1,500 feet of a school zone, possession of schedule II cocaine with intent within 1,500 feet of a school zone, possession of schedule I marijuana with intent within 1,500 feet of a school zone and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The hotel is located near Adams County Christian School.
Christie Renea Clark, 41, 2242 E.E. Wallace Blvd., Ferriday, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thursday night Clark was released, Bridges was being held on a $300,000 bond and Wells on a $50,000 bond.
Daugherty said the arrests are a continuation into an investigation on a Fayette and Concordia Parish drug ring. Six people were arrested earlier this month.
