WATERPROOF – Services for Linester Crockett, 61, of Waterproof, who died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. Jarrod Bottley officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Crockett was born Dec. 4, 1955, in St. Joseph, the son of Isaac Hill and Gertrude Crockett.
He was a retired forklift operator and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.
Mr. Crockett was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother of Waterproof; one daughter, Angelia Crockett and husband, Gregory Rushing, of Baton Rouge; four brothers, Charlie Baker of Atlanta, Hersey Hill of Blue Island, Ill., Richard Hill of Chicago and Darrin Crockett of Bartlett, Ill.; one sister, Brenda Sue Hill-Doty of Blue Island; three grandchildren, Jordyn Rushing, Chloe Rushing and Garbrielle Rushing, all of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
