NATCHEZ — Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies continued to unravel a suspected drug ring Wednesday, confiscated a gun and a variety of drugs from a Montgomery Road residence.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group executed a search warrant at 27 Montgomery Road, Maj. Shane Daugherty said.
Although no one was at the location, Daugherty said deputies seized approximately 43 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 30 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 48 grams of cocaine, approximately 40 grams of high-grade marijuana, a potent form of marijuana resin called wax, surveillance equipment, a loaded shotgun and drug paraphernalia including scales and packaging material.
Daugherty said the District Attorney’s office is assisting agents in the investigation.
Sheriff Travis Patten said because it is an ongoing investigation, he would not name the suspect.
Patten said he is proud of his deputies for their continued work on this investigation.
“(My) deputies will continue to work tirelessly on any information that is given to them about people involved in criminal activity and even though an arrest has not been made as of this moment, more arrests will come as the investigation continues,” Patten said.
