Cristofer Thompson poured in four goals and Cade Wells and Kyle Williams each added two scores as Adams County Christian School blasted Manchester Academy 10-1 in boys soccer action Monday.
“My guys came out on fire tonight,” ACCS coach Jim Bob Allgood said. “We were attacking, trapping and passing. Everybody on the team got into the game by the 25th minute, which was a great feeling.”
Jake Britt and Matt Westmoreland each chipped in with goals for ACCS.
But perhaps the most impressive strike came off the foot of Williams. The senior striker laced a shot from approximately 50 yards that sailed past the MA goalkeeper for an electrifying score.
“He struck a ball so hard that it sounded like a firework stand blew up,” Allgood said. “It was a beautiful shot. He froze the keeper.”
The Rebels (14-1) also got a strong effort from goalie Jacob McDaniel, who collected five saves in the win.
ACCS will attempt to keep the momentum next Monday when it hosts Parklane Academy.
