On Dec. 31, 2016, Lewis reportedly stole a vehicle from the parking lot of Cash Saver in the Magnolia Mall shopping center on D’Evereux Drive. Stampley said the driver left the keys in the vehicle, and Lewis reportedly saw the driver go inside Cash Saver, and she then stole the vehicle.

The vehicle was later recovered on Maple Street, Stampley said.

On Jan. 13, Lewis reportedly burglarized Beauty Town, which is also located in the Magnolia Mall shopping center.

Stampley said police were able to obtain security footage and use it to identify Lewis.

Lewis was being held in the Natchez City Jail Friday without a bond.
