FERRIDAY — Services for Augusta Curtis, 90, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Curtis was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Ferriday, the son of Ike and Mary Curtis.
He was a retired carpenter and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; and eight siblings.
Survivors include one son, Tommie Weatherspoon of San Bernardino, Calif.; one daughter, Billie Joyce Shelton of Zachary, La.; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
