NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Henry Etta Nunnery Lewis, 97, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Adams County Nursing Center, will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Don Bush officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a. m. to noon at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lewis was born April 28, 1919, in Gloster, the daughter of Patrick Henry Nunnery and Annie Laurie Butler Nunnery.
She spent her lifetime serving the Lord at Westside Baptist Church in Natchez. She was saved under the preaching of the Rev. James W. Crompton. The way she lived her life was her testimony.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd D. Lewis; one daughter, Carmen Bass; four brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Smith and husband, Larry, of Vidalia; three grandchildren, Jeffery Smith and wife, Danette, of Monroe, La., Rachel Bass and Justin Bass, both of Slidell, La.; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family members.
