GLOSTER — Services for Robert Lee “Pap” Gooch, 58, of Gloster, who died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Damascus Baptist Church in Gloster with the Rev. Davis Veals officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Gooch was born Dec. 13, 1958, in Necklenburg County, Va., the son of Frank Thomas Gooch and Emma Elizabeth Dotson Gooch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lucy Bell; father-in-law, Leon Perry Sr.; one sister-in-law, Shirlin Hampton; paternal grandparents; and one niece.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Perry Gooch; three sons, Brian Perry, Tremell Perry and Jamaurio Perry; mother-in-law, Jeanette Perry; one sister, Lottie Lowe; two brothers, Victor Gooch and Frank Gooch; four sisters-in-law, Lillian Perry, Jeanet Perry, Denise Lee and Judy Perry Smith; five brothers-in-law, Leon Perry and wife, Henria, Adam Perry and wife, Lori, Ernest Perry and wife, Shirley, David Perry and wife, Linda, and Paul Perry and wife, Dana; one goddaughter, Jessica Hayes; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
