NATCHEZ — Services for Walter Floyd Jr., 68, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at his residence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Searcy officiating.  
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Floyd was born Jan. 8, 1949, in Natchez, the son of Walter Floyd Sr. and Ollie Malone Floyd.
He was employed as a truck driver for a number of years. He was retired.
Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Daryl Jones Sr.; one daughter, Linda Singleton; and one brother, Lawrence Floyd.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Floyd; seven sons, Walter Newman and wife, Roslyn, Adrian Jones Sr. and wife, Vickie, Alvin Noble and wife, Tamela, Clifford Jones and wife, Lola, James Smith, Corey Jones Sr. and Travis Noble and wife, Jazlin; five daughters, Cassandra Jones, Shelia Brown and husband, Marcus, Chazell Moore and husband, Marion, Lynette Noble and Linita Smith.
