VIDALIA — A Vidalia man pleaded guilty Wednesday to a lesser charge in the November robbery of a Pizza Hut delivery driver.

Seventh Judicial District Judge John Reeves sentenced Elbert R. Lee, 22, 132 Doyle Road, to two years probation for simple robbery. Lee had originally been charged with first-degree robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, the second charge is not being prosecuted.

A Pizza Hut delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint while attempting to deliver an order on Doyle Road. When the driver said he only had $10, two men and one juvenile — with their faces concealed and one carrying a rifle — took off with $62.21 worth of pizza.
