NATCHEZ — Services for Robert E. “Bob” Pollard, 61, of Natchez and Brookhaven, who died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. today at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Pollard was born May 11, 1955, in Natchez, the son of Willie Pollard and Edith Lula Hickingbotham Pollard.
He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Mr. Pollard was an avid University of Southern Mississippi fan and loved coaching and watching his kids in sports. He was a forester for 31 years and enjoyed hunting and camping. He served as an alderman for eight years, and he dearly loved Natchez.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his three children, Kelcey Davis and husband, Jeremy, of New Hebron, Hill Pollard and fiancée, Whitney Eppinette, of Brandon, and Colbey Perry and husband, Eric, of Natchez; former wife of 36 years, Shanna Hill Pollard of Natchez; three grandchildren, Anna Faye Davis, Ericson Perry and Cole Perry; two brothers, Bill Pollard and Wayne Pollard, both of Natchez; three sisters, Dorothy Wheat of Brookhaven, Ann Wells of Natchez, and Bettie Tipton of Little Rock, Ark.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Will Pollard, Scott Pollard, Danny Wells, Chuck Wheat, Stan Jones and Shane Wells.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Wheat, Dan Wells and Keith Wells.
