Tuesday, Dec. 20

Latoya Bailey, 26, charged with uttering a forgery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Tywanda Groce, 27, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor petit larceny. Sentenced to 60 days with 59 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit for one day served. Fine set at $750 minus $60 suspended. Must pay a fine of $690. Restitution set at $310. Bond set at $10,000.

Jerry Johnson, 56, charged with possession or carrying a concealed weapon — felony. Case dismissed.

Jerry Johnson, 56, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Fine set at $575 minus $200 for time served. Must pay a fine of $375.Johnson also pleaded guilty to simple assault — attempt to create fear. Fine set at $500 minus $250 for time served. Must pay a fine of $250. Johnson also pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Satisfied with 30 days served. No fine assessed. Johnson was also charged with exhibiting a weapon in a rude and threatening way. Case dismissed. Johnson was also charged with shoplifting — over $500 (felony). Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond set at $10,000.

Megan McCoy, 41, charged with embezzlement more than $500/felony. Case bound over to a grand jury after preliminary hearing probable cause found.

Charles Brandon Roberts, 30, charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Roberts also pleaded guilty to two counts of no driver’s license. Sentenced to 10 days with six days suspended for one year pending good behavior on each count. Credit for four days served on each count. Fine set at $350 on each count. Roberts was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case remanded to file on consideration felony cases go through circuit court completely.

Wednesday, Dec. 28

Lloyd D. Brown Jr., 18, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Must obey all laws. Fine set at $475 minus $125 suspended. Must pay a fine of $350.

Brian L. Johnson, 39, found not guilty of simple assault — domestic violence.

Keith T. Matthews, 33, charged with disturbing the peace. Case dismissed. Issued bench warrant on complaint for failure to appear on served subpoena.

Kiandas Washington, 18, found guilty of disturbing the peace. Fine set at $350. Stated that he would no play. Wanted to sit it out.

Dewayne C. Dunmore, 35, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $450.

Devonta D. Perry, 24, found not guilty of shoplifting — first offense — lack of intent because he paid for exchanged battery.
