NATCHEZ — Services for Estelle King Minor, 78, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Adams County Nursing Center, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Sibley with the Rev. Michelle Brooks Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home with an Eastern Star ceremony at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Minor was born May 26, 1938, in Natchez, the daughter of Willie and Celeste King.
She was a nursing assistant for the late Dr. Mallen Morgan. She also had a catering service.
Mrs. Minor was retired.
She was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church and served on the usher board until her health failed. She was a member of Lucinda Robinson Chapter No. 6 Order of Easter Star, where she served as worthy matron for a number of years and received her honors as past grand matron of Adah Grand Chapter.
Mrs. Minor was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Minor; her parents; one sister, Olgretta Wallace; and one brother, Alex King.
Survivors include three sons, Romallis Minor and wife, Brenda, Andy Minor and Emmett Minor and wife, Contina, all of Natchez; one daughter, Queen Wilson and husband, Lee, of Natchez; five brothers, Willie King and wife, Juanita, James King, Scott King, Louis King and Roger King, all of Natchez; one sister, Eddie Mae Stewart and husband, Joseph, of Natchez; godbrother, Eddie Johnson and wife, Pat, of Natchez; six grandchildren, Cardell M. Minor and Willie Williams, both of Baton Rouge, Dantrell D. Minor of Atlanta, Erie C. Doby and husband, Derek, of Junction City, Kan., Sedric R. Minor and wife, Melissa, of Brandon; and Keddrick Smith of Natchez; five great-grandchildren; and a number of relatives and friends.
