NATCHEZ — Services for Lonnie Joe “Joey” Cox, 62, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glen Harrigill officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral Home.

Mr. Cox was born Jan. 12, 1954 in Natchez, the son of Joe Cox, Jr. and Carece Rushing Cox.

Joey loved working, welding, playing music and watching shows on Netflix, such as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Gilmore Girls” and “One Tree Hill.” He loved Facebook, solitaire, hunting, fishing and baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, C.C. Cox, and one step son, Charlie Freeman.

Survivors include one daughter, Randi Cox; one brother, Ronnie Cox, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Jones, Josh Huff, Ralph Cox, Wesley Warren, Lee Cox and Jimmy Ingram.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Riley, Ronnie Cox, Craig Cox, R. C. Cox and Kaleb June.
