FERRIDAY — A Concordia Parish Correctional Center officer was arrested Wednesday and could face more charges after allegedly being caught introducing contraband into the prison.

Bryan Keith Mulvihill, 33, 17 Fieldview Lane, Natchez, was arrested on a charge of malfeasance in office.

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Vernon Stevens said one incident of contraband reportedly involved a cell phone.

Stevens said Sheriff Kenneth Hedrick has a zero-tolerance for officers introducing contraband into the jail.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible, Stevens said.

Mulvihill was in jail Friday with no bond set.
