NATCHEZ — Services for Maxine L. Pollard, 69, of Natchez, who died Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, will be noon Saturday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.L. Hammette officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Pollard was born July 30, 1947, in Monticello, the daughter of Leffie and Ruby Lewis.

She was a 1965 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School and a 1968 graduate of Mississippi Valley State University.

Mrs. Pollard was employed as a registered nurse at Natchez Regional Medical Center for 30 years. She was also a member of Eliza Pillars Registered Nurses Association.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse James Pollard Sr.; one son, Jesse James Pollard Jr.; one daughter, Christy McKinney and husband, Carlos; one grandson, Carlos L. McKinney Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Nell May of Natchez; one brother, Randy Anderson of Fort Worth, Texas, and a number of other relatives and friends.
