Nine separate Adams County Christian School players scored goals and the Rebels rolled past Central Private 12-5 in boys soccer action Wednesday.

“This is one of the most sharing and caring teams that I’ve ever had,” ACCS coach Jim Bob Allgood said. “There’s 32 kids on this roster … my goal today was to get every kid on the field, and by halftime, we had done that. I’m proud of that. In years past, that was never able to happen.”

ACCS led at halftime 5-1.

Kyle Williams led the way for the Rebels with four scores, pouring in three during the first half and adding the first goal of the second half.

“(Williams) made me a promise he was going to score a hat trick today,” Allgood said.

Jordan Wells, Jacob McDaniel, Cristofer Thompson, Alex McCready, Daniel Huff, Austin Perrin, Joshua Hargon and Beau Stahlman each had scores for ACCS.

Thompson scored just one goal, but the junior midfielder aided many others as he danced and weaved through the Central Private defense in setting up his teammates for scoring chances.

“(Thompson) is one of the most unselfish soccer kids I’ve ever coached,” Allgood said. “He lets the game come to him, and then he sends and dishes out to other people. I applaud him for doing that. I’m very proud of him, and I’m very proud of the whole team.”

Williams struck first for ACCS, recording his first score 10 minutes into action. The striker then added his second strike after Huff played a through-ball onto Williams’ awaiting foot.

Wells scored his goal moments later after McCready launched a long ball from his keeper position, and Wells battled for the ball before blasting a shot into the back of the net.

In the second half, McCready moved to forward and poured in the Rebels 11th-score of the game. McDaniel recorded the assist.

ACCS will attempt to keep the momentum going Friday when it hosts Hartfield Academy.

“Hartfield is a good team,” Allgood said. “Anytime you play a (Jackson area) team, when they come out of that area, they’re bad to the bone. I’m looking forward to a great game on Friday.”
