NATCHEZ — Services for Jimmie “Tack” Thomas, 63, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be noon Saturday at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dywon Lewis officiating. 
Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Thomas was born Sept. 9, 1953, the son of Catherine Thomas.
He attended North Natchez High School and Jackson State University.
He was employed by St. Regis, formerly Georgia Pacific. He enjoyed football.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include three brothers, Henry Haywood and Clarence Thomas, both of Jackson, and Albert Thomas of Natchez; three sisters, Doris Thomas of Gulfport, Deloris Thomas of Little Rock, Ark., and Gwen Thomas of Natchez; three stepdaughters, Carolyn York of Jackson, Quinnessa Thomas of Natchez and Yolanda York of Jonesboro, Ga.; five granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and other relatives and friends.
