NATCHEZ — Services for Donald Ray Barnes Sr., 55, of Sibley, who died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, in Sibley, will be noon Saturday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. Moses Shillow officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will follow a celebration of life wake service today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Barnes was born Dec. 31, 1960, in Adams County, the son of Anderson “Doc” Washington and Leola Barnes.
He was a 1979 graduate of South Natchez High School. He was retired from the logging business. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; one son, Donald Barnes Jr.; one daughter, LaToya Barnes; five brothers, Andrew Barnes and wife, Clara, Robert Barnes, Charles Barnes, Eugene Barnes and wife, Lorraine, and Vertrance Barnes; one sister, Priscilla McGee and husband, Willie, of Biloxi; and other relatives and friends.
