NATCHEZ — Natchez police are investigating a Tuesday morning shooting during which two men allegedly shot each other.
Natchez Police Department Sgt. Jerry Ford said officers responded to the scene of the shooting in the area of Oak Hill Drive shortly after 3 a.m.
An argument between two men reportedly ended with gunfire when the two men drew guns and fired at each other.
One man was struck in the lower left leg and later treated and released from a hospital.
The other man had fled the scene when police arrived, Ford said.
Police believe the man may have been treated at a hospital, but have not been able to contact him and do not know the extent of his injuries, Ford said.
No arrests have been made in the case, Ford said, as police are still trying to determine exactly what happened.
Police believe, Ford said, the shooting may be a result of an ongoing feud between the two men.
Anyone with information about the shooting should call Crime Stoppers at 601-442-5000.
Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $1,000 for tips leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect.
