WATERPROOF — Services for Vivian Keener, 95, of Waterproof, who died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, in Waterproof, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday wit the Rev. Curtis Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Oakley Cemetery in Gilbert, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Keener was born on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 1921, in Seminary.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Marvin Lee; mother, Bamma Lee; husband, Thomas Lester Keener; son, Thomas Clinton Keener; son, John David Keener; five brothers, Ernest Lee, George Lee, Claude Lee, Leslie Lee and Lucian Lee; three sisters, Willie Prunty, Ora Wheat and Robertis Moncrief.

Survivors include one son, James “Dink” Keener and Bonnie Rhodes of Whitehall, Mont.; two daughters, Carol Sanders and her husband, Lee, of Monterey, Sharon Hinson and Keister Dellinger of Waterproof; daughter-in-law, Rosita Keener of Corpus Christi, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cody Rushing, Chris Sanders, Ronnie Sanders, Chad Welch, Daniel Lee and George Earl Lee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Lee, Stanton McHale and Seth Lee .
