NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Samuel O. Bonner Sr., 93, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at his residence, will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Canton Cemetery, in Canton, with the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Bonner was born on Oct. 22, 1923, in Ovett, the son of James McKinney Bonner and Lena Richardson Bonner.
He was a generous donor to the Natchez Children’s Home Services and for autistic children.  He enjoyed the visits of his nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews and his home at Southwood Lodge.
Mr. Bonner was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Jackson Bonner; one son, Samuel O. Bonner Jr.; and beloved niece, Meredith Gail Rieder Replin.
Survivors include one sister, Mary R. Bonner Rieder of Natchez; one niece, Susan Antonette Rieder Miller and husband, Bill, of Granger, Ind.; three great-nephews, Bill Miller Jr., a student at University of Kentucky-Department of Nuclear Energy, Joseph Replin and wife, Julia, and Steven Replin and wife, Meghan; one great-niece, Kerry Ann Replin Greiner and husband, Phil; three great-great-nephews, Ben, Nick and Jake Greiner; two great-nieces, Elyssia and Lila Replin; one great-great-nephew, Calvin Richard Replin; and one great-great-niece, Albany Monica Replin, all of North West Indiana.
Pallbearers will be Bill Miller Sr., Bill Miller Jr., Joseph Replin, Steven Replin and Alex Womack.
Memorials may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
