NATCHEZ — Services for Rachel Mae Davis White, 62, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Mariah Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life wake service at 5:30 p.m.

Visitation will continue from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Ms. White was born March 18, 1954,  in Natchez, the daughter of the Rev. Henry Davis Sr. and Bertha Mae Davis-Smith.

She was a 1972 graduate of North Natchez High School and a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church where she assisted with the church programs and picnics. She enjoyed cooking, baking, singing, praising God and traveling.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include four sons, Thomas Edward White Jr. and wife, Valerie, of Brookhaven, Marcus Anthony White of Natchez, Kenyatta T. White of Vidalia and James L. White and wife, Sharnell, of Palmetto, Ga.; four brothers, James Green and Leonard Green, both of Las Vegas, Jimmy Davis and Henry Davis Jr. and wife, Kita, all of Natchez; one sister, Adell Green and husband, Don; one stepsister, Jessie Huff and husband, Clyde; 13 grandchildren; special friends, Veronica Joseph of Natchez and Irma Robinson Armstrong of Gulfport; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
