NATCHEZ — A man died late Wednesday night after reportedly suffering multiple stab wounds to the chest at a residence on Watts Avenue.

Adams County Coroner James Lee said he pronounced Terrence Jackson, 21, dead at 9:49 p.m. at Merit Health Natchez. The cause of death, Lee said, is homicide.

Lee said it appears Jackson was stabbed during an altercation with a significant other.

Lee said the incident was a terrible tragedy.

“To be 21 and die like this, it’s just unheard of,” he said.

The Natchez Police Department did not return requests for comment.
