NATCHEZ — Police seek a suspect alleged to have robbed two Mississippi Title Loan employees at gunpoint Tuesday evening.

Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said when the employees of the John R. Junkin Drive business closed at approximately 6:30 p.m, a male wearing all black came at them from the bushes pointing a gun.

When the man demanded money, Ford said the two employees complied, placing a substantial amount of money in a bag. Ford said the suspect asked one of the victims to give him a key to one of the vehicles after taking the money.

The victim gave him the key, Ford said. While the suspect was trying to gain access to the vehicle, Ford said the victims got in a different vehicle and fled the scene.

Ford said when officers arrived the suspect had left and had not taken the car.

Ford said he would not say how much money was stolen for fear of putting the employees at risk for another robbery.

Ford said no one was hurt.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 601-442-5000.
