FERRIDAY — A Ferriday man has been charged in connection with two aggravated burglaries in as many months.

Ferriday police charged David Humphrey, 18, 717 Virginia Ave., Monday with aggravated burglary in connection with an Oct. 7 residential burglary.

Ferriday Police Department investigator Richard Madison said Humphrey and another person allegedly broke into a residence on the 700 block of Virginia Avenue, reportedly taking a .38-cal. revolver and ammo for the firearm.

Madison said Humphrey was reportedly the look-out for the other person.

The firearm has not been recovered, Madison said.

Madison said Ferriday Police still seek the other person involved.

On Sept. 6, Humphrey was charged with aggravated burglary, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and cruelty to a juvenile.

Madison said that incident was connected to a Sept. 5 burglary, also on Virginia Avenue, in which he allegedly pushed a child in commission of the crime. Madison said the burglary was considered as an aggravated burglary because Humphrey reportedly had a firearm in his possession.

Humphrey was in jail Wednesday afternoon on a $122,500 bond.
