Arrest made in shooting incident

FERRIDAY — A Ferriday man has been arrested in connection with a Sunday shots fired incident near Kentucky and Sixth streets and police are seeking a second suspect allegedly involved in the incident.
Demontay Deon Dunbar, 19, 807 Second St., was arrested by Ferriday police at approximately 10:45 Tuesday evening on charges of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and resisting an officer by flight.
Ferriday Police Department Assistant Chief Bruce Wiley said Dunbar was located at a residence on Sixth Street while officers were patrolling the area. Wiley said Dunbar allegedly ran when he saw police.
Wiley said police recovered a 9 mm Ruger pistol during the arrest.
The alleged shooting occurred at 5:22 p.m. Sunday following an argument between two men. No one was reported injured during the shooting.
